Narrative

Set 183 years before the events of the original film trilogy, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim follows the line of Helm Hammerhand, the legendary King of Rohan. A sudden attack by Wulf, a cunning and ruthless Dunlending lord seeking revenge for his father’s death, forces Helm and his people to make a brave last stand at the ancient Hornburg fortress—a mighty stronghold that would later become Helm’s Deep.
