The pilot pays homage to „Action Comics“ #1 (Superman’s debut) by showcasing the hero’s original Golden Age costume in live action for the first time. The famous green car on the cover also appears. What a refreshing re-imagining of Superman. I finally feel like I’m seeing a character I’ve been reading about for the past 30 years. They get it so well! The cinematography is incredible and it feels like I’m watching a movie every week, not a TV show. I’m so happy that The CW/WB greenlit this show because it’s the best portrayal of Superman in 15 years.
