James Gunn had pitched „CREATURE COMMANDOS“; before taking over DC
Follows a group of military superhumans consisting of a human leader, a werewolf, a vampire, Frankenstein’s monster, and a gorgon. Gunn then greenlit the project himself when he became CEO of DC Studios. Series writer and creator James Gunn is seen in the opening titles with a laptop typing up a script.

. Based on the publicity for this series, for me it was very much anticipated with excitement to see DC have a group of monsters in one team. Watching the two episodes, I feel quite confused, rushed, and don’t fully understand the story.
What’s next, one episode per season?
The action is there, but the voices of some characters seem quite boring. I’m not happy that there are 7 episodes in a season. It should be 14-24 for a season.
I hope they improve season 2 and I’ll keep watching this show
I like the idea of a team but I want to have a better understanding to feel engaged with the characters but not feel rushed and lost in the show. Reading the comics is one thing but the main problem with DC is that they don’t let you appreciate the characters enough to understand what they’re going through in the show or the movies. James Gunn, let me love this show and the characters more and stop rushing a project that could be fantastic.
